The Secrets I’ve Learned From Them

Posted in SuccessTrace Private Membership on February 6th, 2010 by Patric Chan – 9 Comments

In the past 10 months, I’ve been having conversations with some of the most successful people in the world for their expertise — best-selling authors, multi-millionaires and world-class speakers. I can tell you that they are the people who have my highest respect in what they do.

And I’m going to share with you what they’ve taught me… what I’ve learned from them that have helped me to achieve success in leaps and bounds within 10 short months. Today, their secrets can be yours.

These are just one of my many lessons learned from what were shared by them:

(All of the audio interviews will be released when The Success Trace relaunch on the 9th February at www.successtrace.com):

Bill Bartmann

Bill Bartmann

What I’ve learn from my interview with Bill Bartmann, the “Billionaire Business Coach” who has been named National Entrepreneur of the Year by NASDAQ, USA Today and Merrill Lynch and Harvard Business School use him as a case study:

People are held back from opportunities because the fear of the unknown. The biggest myth to wealth is that you need to know the characteristic of the opportunity to take full advantage of it. Not true. For instance, do you need to know about burgers to start a McDonald’s? Nope. But this is not a good example because McDonalds’ a franchise that comes with a complete system.

So to relate another example - do you need to know about programming and web design to start an internet business and create an income stream? Of course not.

Don’t let opportunity slips away from your hand because you’re worried that you don’t have the knowledge and experience to take advantage of it because everything is UNKNOWN in the beginning before you explore it.

John Harricharan

John Harricharan

What I’ve learn from my interview with John Harricharan, the top authority of spirituality and featured in a book with His Royal Highness, Prince Philip of Great Britain, the Dalai Lama and Paul McCartney:

The reason why it’s possible for you to attain wealth by using the power of spirituality is because you are now living in an abundant world - plant that thought into your mind now. Spirituality is not related to feelings, emotions and so on or it is your mind. It’s everything. In the spirituality world, you don’t ‘need to take’ from someone to be yours. Meaning, someone doesn’t need to be unhealthy for you to be healthy. Because I’m breathing now, it doesn’t mean that you cannot breathe, we do not take away from each other - there are enough for everyone. At the same time, our lives are consistently guided by the Universe with Signs and your only job is to have the awareness to ’see’ these signs.

Dr. Joe Rubino

Dr. Joe Rubino

What I’ve learn from my interview with Dr Joe Rubino, the internationally acclaimed expert on elevating self esteem and author of 11 best-selling book that are available in 19 languages and in 48 countries:

You’re influenced directly and indirectly to be who you are today when you were a child. And let’s say you were told that you’re not smart and believe into that, you’ll look for the evidence to support your belief.

It’s the same thing to why most people fail to achieve success because they don’t believe that they can. So instead of doing the best to achieve, their minds start to find reason why they CANNOT achieve success and guess what will happen… they’ll find the evidence that they look for - to fail. You got to always stay alert and be aware of what your brain is actually looking for - is it helping you to get closer or away from your goals?

The good news is, even if you have a messed up childhood, you can actually solve this problem by being aware that you’re having this problem and go through the process of ‘completion’ and move forward.

Jim Britt

Jim Britt

What I’ve learn from my interview with Jim Britt, internationally recognized leader in the field of peak performance training and a world-class speaker who has presented to over 1,000,000 people at seminars:

You can’t be happy if you don’t know what happiness is to you. Would you want to wake up one day with a lot of money but your wife/husband and children do not care and love you? Of course your instant answer would be ‘no’ but you’ll be surprised that many people are actually doing that because they have a false interpretation of what happiness really means to them. Stress comes from chasing things instead of allowing them to come to you.

You got to learn how to “let go” – what to let go and when to let go.

Mark Victor Hansen

Mark Victor Hansen

My interview with Mark Victor Hansen, co-author of Chicken Soup of The Soul Series with over 140 million books sold worldwide:

Opportunities are created by you — there are opportunities in front of you every time so the problem here is actually not lack of them but not knowing how to open your eyes to ’see’ them. And even if it’s recession, it’s never been a better time to create your own opportunities. Use your creative mind to think of what opportunities can be created from the problems faced.

You might say this to me, “I already knew all of these, what I’ve read today”.

Don’t you think I know them as well? You see, that’s the biggest mistake we all have in our life when it comes to uncovering valuable wisdom - we let our Ego to take over on how we interpret what we’ve learned.

Let me just put it in this simple perspective…

If I didn’t have these priceless conversations with them, do you think I’ll wake up in the morning from my bed and suddenly go, “Oh, I know about this!”?

If you don’t read this blog today, do you think you would suddenly thought of all these valuable advice out of the blue? Perhaps, but most likely not. And that’s provided what you’ve read today is already known to you in the past.

Secondly, what do you do with what you’ve learned? Do you take them with you and think of how they can be applied into your life, right now?

Because of what I’ve learned from Bill Bartmann, I’m now involved with Forex trading and making good money from it today. And this is the opportunity which I’ve stayed away in the past because I thought I can’t do this, I don’t know how to trade. Today, I still don’t know how to trade but it doesn’t means that I cannot take advantage of this opportunity.

Right now, I’m spending more time pampering myself and also spend the time with my wife and baby because I know what my true happiness is after learning from Jim Britt. In the past, I would work a lot because I thought my business and money would bring the happiness - no, it’s the TIME that it creates that will bring happiness to me when I can ’spend’ it doing what I want.

Because of what Mark Victor Hansen told, I believe that my business in 2010 will probably be the BEST IN MY LIFETIME because I’ve build the confident level that recession is not going to affect me and there are so many opportunities right now.

I hope you get the point.

Listening from them is THE BEST WAY how I discover the secrets to success and make me excited to take action.

And I want you, hopefully, you would not take today’s lesson with a pinch of salt but truly appreciate these ’secrets’ because I want you to experience the same success I’ve gotten from this same source.

All the best,

Patric Chan

P.S: Can you imagine how your life will transform to be wealthier and happier if you were able to access the entire audio interview collection that I have with 5 of these great individuals and 3 MORE? Honestly, even if you will just get ONE IDEA from all of them, it would already worth everything. The Secret Behind Second Income Streams

Posted in SuccessTrace Private Membership on February 4th, 2010 by Patric Chan – 28 Comments

Let me tell you this… if you’re just relying on one income stream to support your life, you’re risking everything you got today.

To clarify, second income stream could be from any source - internet, stocks, real estate, multi-level marketing and so on! But ironically, most people failed to have this kind of wonderful income stream into their life because they miss out this important part…

Mastering the concept of second income streams.

You see, I’ve discovered a secret about second income streams when I was having a conversation wth my student – she said she cannot have a second income stream because her ‘first’ income stream is not working yet. If you undertand how second income streams actually work, you can be financially wealthier than at your current level. In the past, I’ve recorded a video to share with my paid Success Trace members but I’m releasing it to you for free today:

If you like or find value in this short video, I’ll appreciate your comment below? I read every single one of them personally. :-)

Thanks,

Patric

Was I Lucky?

Posted in SuccessTrace Private Membership on April 26th, 2009 by Patric Chan – 47 Comments

(Note: This article is not proof read. I’m publishing as ‘it is’ to remain the essence of the message and it’s because I want to put it up immediately for you than waiting for it to be proof read first.)

My story is nothing inspirational compare to those who had gone through extreme adversity to be successful today. There are people who were bankrupt, lost their family, lost their legs or hands, living on the street, etc but risen up to success. I was not in any of these categories – I am a ‘regular’ guy who was lucky.

First, I was lucky to discover that there are such things as personal development stuff out there when I was young. That is the fastest way to learn.

At the same time, I was also being lied into believing that all of this stuff works too. For instance, when I was doing sales by selling greeting cards from door-to-door last time, I read a motivational book. Problem is, the advice was stupid but I took it without a second thought. The book said that I should be persistence and ignore all of the rejections because I can do it. That’s partially true but doesn’t apply to everyone.

Now, that concept works but it’s stupid because it’s teaching me to work hard like a dog than working smart.

By end of the day, I would be very tired physically and mentally. Imagine walking under the hot Sun selling cards to passerby and being ignored and sometimes, being scolded. Then continue doing that because “I can”. Now, how smart is that success strategy?

I was lucky to meet direct and indirect mentors in my life. Two people that I have learned immensely from are Anthony Robbins and Robert Kiyosaki when I was young.

patric anthony2 Was I Lucky?

patric robert2 Was I Lucky?

I’m talking about total immersion. I’ve bought almost all of their books/courses even when I wasn’t having a lot of money at that time and attended their seminars when I can afford.

As you can tell by now, there’s no ONE SECRET to success. There are plenty of them.

Another of my success secret, which is known by most people but they’re just plain ignorant or egoistic to admit or accept is this– to learn from others. I understand the value of learning from other people and even if I already knew the answer, I will still seek for more wisdom.

If you come to my house, you’ll see books and courses about Law of Attraction because I’m doing my best to learn this success principle.

For instance, I already know what Robert Kiyosaki is going to teach again in his seminar but I’ll still try to attend. He could be telling the story of his Rich Dad for the 10th times, but throughout the seminar, I will bring home at least one value that will worth more than 10 times my investment.

To me, I wasn’t looking for the magic pill when I’m learning - I’m just looking for the ‘Aha’ moment. When I go through programs, instead of thinking, “is this program worth it”, my mind is only focus to get one value. Let’s say I spend $15 for a book and I don’t learn anything except for getting one value, it’s definitely worth more than $15 because it’ll be with me forever. $15 will be gone tomorrow.

I was lucky to understand about ‘abundance’ many years ago. Abundance work in many forms - especially, when it comes to obtaining wisdom. No matter how much you share your knowledge, it won’t deplete. It doesn’t mean that if you share 50%, then you’ll only have 50% left. As a matter of fact, it’ll increase from 100% to 110% or more because when you share, you’ll uncover new information. At the same time, when you’re learning, don’t be despair if you feel like you’re not getting anything from a course, otherwise, you’re living in a scarcity world of greed.

I was lucky to fail many times in my life. This also has to do with over-absorption of personal development stuff that doesn’t work (smile).

Because I was able to fail many times, I can afford to get back into the game again. I’m not talking of major failures like bankruptcy and stuff like that… thank God I don’t have to go through those. Remember, I’m a regular guy like you and the rest of the people in the world. A regular guy who was lucky enough to be where I am today.

There’s a saying that there is no such thing as failure but a new learning curve - I like that thought but that’s more like ‘thinking positive’, you know. If you keep on doing this ‘positive thinking’ thingy, it might work for you well or you can also lose it all if your mind’s not strong enough. That’s your call.

I was able to realize that failure is just PART OF THE GAME of success. You can’t win all the time. You have to lose once in a while and get that into your brain. Each time Michael Jordan makes a shot to the basket, it’s not always an accurate shot. Or when Tiger Woods hits the ball, it doesn’t always go in the hole. They ‘lose’ too but at the end of the day, they win.

I was also lucky to be ridiculed and mocked.

I have a dream - to become a millionaire before 30. They laugh at me, of course not in my face. When I attend personal improvement seminars, attendees who are already successful don’t seem to enjoy my company because they don’t see the benefit of mixing with a ‘loser’. Some even brushed me away. Well, I achieved my dream mex5new Was I Lucky?any years before I reach 30.

When I said I want to buy a big car, they ask me not to dream too much because I was just riding a motorcycle that time. Look who’s laughing now.
  Was I Lucky?

People tend to ridicule you when you’re not like them because they don’t have the potential to achieve what you want to achieve - some don’t even dare to dream. Let them do that to you and the best part is when you can prove them wrong. Not because you’re trying to feed your own ego, but be kind to inspire them of possibilities.

I was lucky.

10 Ways To Fail In Life Almost Guaranteed

Posted in SuccessTrace Private Membership on April 21st, 2009 by Patric Chan – 84 Comments

failphoto 10 Ways To Fail In Life Almost Guaranteed

So you want to be successful in life? Is that what you want? Then you better stop failing and become aware of these 10 ways to fail in life.

You see, I’ve been asked many times for how to achieve success and weird enough, seems like nobody’s taking that advice seriously. Then I realized one thing – most people are ALREADY failing before they even got started!

The article I wrote below is slightly controversy compare to the normal goodie-type personal development advice because this is the TRUTH. If I want to keep everyone happy and write about the colorful rainbow, birds chirping, flowers blooming, etc then I should just opens up a nursery home and take care of children. I want to tell you the truth straight to your face because I’ve been there and heard the garbage lies thrown everywhere.

Avoid these and you’ll automatically be on the right track (provided you want to be successful)…

1. Mixing With Losers
It’s a guaranteed way to fail in life with this. Whatever you like to do, losers will just tell you it won’t work and after some time, you will also become a loser. High five, welcome to the losers’ club. Something about losers you should know: they like to ‘recruit’ new people and are very comfortable in their shoes. They don’t welcome Changes. So when you see someone with any of these two characteristics, you know what you should do.

2. Don’t Know What You Want

The most common goal I hear all of the time is, “I want to be rich”. I mean it’s fine with that generic goal but the problem is, how rich do you want to be? Or how rich is rich? Put it this way – the methods used to make a million and $3,000 are different. No wonder some people couldn’t experience breakthroughs in life because they are playing small for big goals. If you want to make a million, you better put in that level of commitment, bucko.

3. You Want Everything
House Money 10 Ways To Fail In Life Almost Guaranteed

It’s nice to have a lot of things but if you go chasing everything, you get nothing. Let me tell you why – you only have 24 hours a day and you’ve got to focus on your priorities. I know, I know, you can hire others and so on but the fact is, you’ve got to want ’something’ first to lead to another ’something’, then to everything. Make sense?

4. Watching the “Secrets” Way Too Much
10 Ways To Fail In Life Almost Guaranteed

I’m not here to criticize Law Of Attractions (LOA) and don’t want to receive hate emails. As a matter of fact, I do believe in it and have friends who appeared in the Secrets. But it’s a surefire way to fail if you keep on watching the “Secrets” and doing ‘attraction’ by sitting down on your floor manifesting 3 hours a day. In my point of view, scientifically, Law of Attraction runs on the concept of ‘believing’. When you believe you can achieve your goal, you will take actions to actually achieve it but if you don’t understand this basic element and think LOA is some sort of miracle remedy, oh boy, you’re in for a big surprise for failure.

5. You Don’t Truly Know Why You Want Success
dont know what you want 10 Ways To Fail In Life Almost Guaranteed

Wanting everything is bad enough – but it gets even worse if you don’t even know the reason why you’re trying to achieve your goal. What’s the deal? Without a solid reason, a compelling reason, where are you going to find the motivation and encouragement for you to overcome obstacles? You think it’s going to be fun ride to success? Then you haven’t been traveling – it’s a rocky road, my friend. Most people failed to achieve their goals because they never complete the journey– they give up half way (or at the beginning) because they cannot see the worth of accomplishments.

6. You Don’t Remember Your Roots
The thing I get most irritated about is people who achieved success and never felt gratitude towards those who have helped them. Is it very hard to say, ‘thank you’? The law of reciprocity is simple – you return favors to those who helped you in the past. And maybe, they’ll help you again in the future. Remember this- it takes more than just you to achieve success, so don’t be a jerk.

7. You Think You’re Smart
confused 10 Ways To Fail In Life Almost Guaranteed

The day you stop learning is the day you stop improving yourself. If you don’t want to fail in life, make you sure you stop acting as though you already know everything. The fact is, all successful people are people who continuously learn to be even more successful. They don’t stop. Let me put it in this perspective – you don’t know what you don’t know, you know?

8. You Listen To The Wrong People
you listen to the wrong people 10 Ways To Fail In Life Almost Guaranteed

I watched this funny movie called, “He Is Just Not That Into You” and it just reaffirmed what I’m about to tell you. At the beginning of the movie, it shows a clip of a boy pushing a girl in the playground because he somehow doesn’t like her. He thinks she smells like dog pooh. She cried and asked her mum why did the boy do that to her. And her mum replied, “It’s because boys do that to girls when they like you.” Do yourself a favor, don’t get wrong advice. It’ll stick in your brain and lead you to make stupid interpretations in life.

9. You Think Short Term
You’ll hear this happening often in many ’successful’ people’s stories – make a lot of money to lose it all. This probably because they became too comfortable and the other thing is, once you achieve success, you should ride on the wave when the momentum is there. When you think short term, you’re only going after the instant pleasure. You must learn to master ‘delay gratification’ so that you can enjoy your today’s labor.

10. You’re Blinded With What Is Important In Life
blinded 10 Ways To Fail In Life Almost Guaranteed

I believe there are only two things that are important in your life – control of time and experiencing happiness. Money, love, big cars, diamonds, etc are the things that contribute to these 2 benchmarks of successes. For instance, if you have money, you don’t need to work so that you can have more time to do the things you like. It’s not the money that you’re trying to get but what the money CAN DO FOR YOU. I know this topic is bigger than one sentence explanation but I guess you get the point. You’re a smart fella.

So now you know the 10 ways to fail in life. Question is, are you doing any of these? I’ll be BS’ng you if I said I don’t. I’m human dude, flesh and blood – I do mistakes too.

But I was fortunate to experience my fair share of success today because I learn powerful lessons from other successful people…

“It’s okay to fail and you should fail as many times as you can. That is how you learn but more importantly, you should never give up – each time you get kick dirt in your face, wash your face and ‘fight’ back. Don’t go crying like a sissy because Mum’s not going to come cleaning your face.”

Are you ready? Go get your goals.

If you’ve find value in what you read today, please leave a Comment or feedback? Needless to say, I will definitely appreciate it because I read all Comments personally and gotten the chance to know you at the same time.
